Yamaha's new silicone based pads have a great feel! So much so that I am actually forgoing the acoustic look for the sleek new pads. This is my current kit. There are 39 individual triggers on this kit.

In my opinion, Yamaha e-drums have a much better sound and much better functionality than Roland. However, they only make electronic looking pads. So, I mounted Yamaha DTXtreme III series pads to shells to give it a more acoustic look. This kit has garnered a lot of attention due to it's one-of-a-kind design and is featured in the June 2010 issue of Digital Drummer magazine.

It may be hard to believe, but I do have interests other than drums. I've been one of the lucky musicians who've been able to satify my urge to play live without sacrificing my wife of 13 years and my kids. Very lucky, indeed.
